We will begin our day tour in the morning, Visiting the Snake Temple in Penang which was constructed in 1850 to honor Chor Soo Kong - a monk deified for his numerous good deeds including healing the sick and giving snakes from the nearby jungle shelter. Chor Soo Kong, born sometime between 960 and 1279, is still highly revered; pilgrims travel from all over Southeast Asia to honor him on his birthday during the first lunar month of each year.
The actual name of the Penang Snake Temple is temple of the Azure Clouds" or "Ban Kah Lan" in Hokkien. Wat Chaiyamangkalaram (also Chayamangkalaram or Chaiya Mangkalaram) is one of the most resplendent Buddhist temples in Penang. It has an outwardly Thai architecture applying vibrant colors and designs.
The Siamese temple was built on 1845 at a five-acre land donated by Queen Victoria to the Thai Communities in Penang and is located at the heart of Georgetown along Burma Lane (Lorong Burma) in Pulau Tikus. After lunch, we will check-in hotel for some rest before heading for its famous Gurney Drive in the evening for its mouth-watering local delicacies.
Day 3 : PENANG - IPOH (B/L)                                                                                    (Hotel : Tower Regency or similar)

Rise and Shine! After breakfast we will check out of the hotel and make our day tour history of Kek Lok Si can be traced to the late 19th century. The founder and first Abbott of Kek Lok Si was the Venerable Beow Lean, who was born into a devout Buddhist family in Fujian province in 1844. At the age of 33, he left his occupation as a businessman to devote his life to the teachings of Buddhism. In 1885, he came to Penang with the aim of obtaining donations for the renovation of a monastry in Fuzhou, China.
As faith would have it, the trustees of the oldest temple in Penang, the Kuan Yin Teng (Godess of Mercy Temple) in Pitt Street, offered him the position of Chief Monk-in-residence. Impressed by the deep devotion of the Penang Chinese to Buddhism, he accepted and settled down in Penang."A man determined can move a mountain, but a man devoted can carve one". It was through the sheer diligence, determination and devotion of Venerable Beow Lean that the Kek Lok Si temple began to take shape. With the blessing of his superiors and the unstinting support of five local tycoons, the first phase of the temple complex, which consisted of a series of monasteries, prayer halls, and landscaped gardens, was built between 1891 and 1905.
This afternoon, we will be travelling into Ipoh Town. Ipoh is famous for its food. Natives claim that Ipoh's water, which is relatively hard (high alkali content) owing to Ipoh's location on top of a large karstic formation, makes the food especially tasty.  Ipoh is famous for food items such as "Sar Hor Fun". It is a flat white rice noodle which locals believe best served in soup with shredded chicken meat and prawns. Most Ipoh residents, particularly the older generation, indulge in their favorite pastime of enjoying "dim sum" consisting of various Hong Kong style cuisine includes small Chinese dumplings and hors d'œuvre delicacies; downed with generous servings of Chinese tea. Other favorite dishes includes "Nga Choi Kai" which is chicken fillet with soy sauce, beansprouts with pepper spread on top of it. "Hakka Mee" which is rice noodles (yellow) serve with mince meat (pork) sauce, and "Heong Peng" which is a type of biscuits. Ipoh is well known in Malaysia for coffee known as "Ipoh white coffee". It was believed that as the Ipoh township stems from the development of the Ipoh Old Town and many small coffee shops remain in this part of the city, the coffee from Ipoh is given the moniker "old town white coffee".
After all the yummy experiences in Ipoh, time to take a rest for the night.

Day 4 : IPOH – KUALA LUMPUR (B)                                                                         (Hotel : Piccolo or similar)

After breakfast, we will visit one of the famous limestone caves due to the surrounding karst formations. The Sam Po Tong (Cavern of Three Precious) temple, is a Chinese temple built within a limestone cave. A pond outside houses many tortoises. Its sister temple, Perak Tong (Perak Cave), has a steep, tall staircase in the interior of the cave rising up to the top of its hill where one is greeted by a panoramic view of Ipoh and its surroundings. The statue of Buddha in Perak Tong was the tallest and largest of its kind in Malaysia when first commissioned. Both these cavern temples have decent vegetarian food.
Another sight worth seeing is the Kek Lok Tong (Cavern of Utmost Happiness), which is a cave temple that lies on the other side of the same range of limestone hills as Sam Poh Tong. It is accessible through the Gunung Rapat housing area. It has a cleaner, quieter and more cooling environment and has the best scenic cave view before heading into Kuala Lumpur the capital of Malaysia.
Upon arrival into Kuala Lumpur, the night is at leisure for exploring its shopping deals at its giant malls along Jalan Bukit Bintang and its mouth watering local delicaies along Jalan Alor.
